Once you feel called to experience Kambo, we will begin with a brief discovery to discuss the process, review your medical and social history, and ensure that Kambo is a safe and appropriate choice for you. This initial conversation sets the foundation for a meaningful and intentional ceremony.
Kambo is traditionally administered within the sacred space of a Spiritual Ceremony, holding the spirit of the medicine in deep reverence and gratitude. The ceremony typically lasts 1.5 to 2 hours and is guided with care, presence, and intention.
At the start of the ceremony, and sometimes shortly before, you will drink 1–2 liters of water. Water serves as a vehicle for purification, carrying the toxins drawn out by Kambo through the stomach and intestines. As biological beings, water is our first medicine, and it should be regarded with the respect and reverence it deserves. It plays an essential role in facilitating the process, supporting both physical detoxification and energetic clearing.
Intention is a vital component of working with Kambo. Before administering the medicine, we will discuss your intention for healing and transformation. Intention acts as a powerful guiding force, aligning your focus with your goals and creating a sacred connection between you, the medicine, and the healing process. Whether you seek physical relief, emotional release, or spiritual alignment, intention will serve as a compass throughout your journey.
Kambo is administered through small, painless burns on the skin, known as dots or gates. These superficial burns allow the medicine to bypass the digestive system and enter the body directly through the lymphatic system, where it begins scanning and addressing areas most in need of healing. The medicine works intuitively, targeting physical, emotional, and energetic imbalances, even interacting with the brain through indirect pathways.
As the DNA imprint of the frog enters your body, it gifts you with the ability to dissolve dense energies that cause damage and dis-ease to your body, mind, and spirit. Once free of these dense energies, it is common to experience a profound sense of balance, clarity, and alignment across all levels of your being.
The medicine remains on the skin for approximately 20 minutes. During this time, you may experience a wave of heat, ringing in the ears, an accelerated heartbeat, and sensations of nausea or discomfort. These are natural effects of the medicine interacting with your system and initiating the release process.
It is important to recognize that Kambo does not make you sick—rather, it activates your body’s natural ability to purge and release accumulated toxins, stagnant energy, and emotional burdens. The physical, mental, emotional, and energetic discomfort you experience during the session reflects the damage that has already been stored within your system, whether self-inflicted through choices and habits or imprinted by external circumstances and relationships. Each session with Kambo is unique, and the experiences vary depending on what is being released.
After the 20-minute cycle is complete, the medicine is gently removed from your skin. We will then take time to reflect on your experience, integrating the insights and lessons gained during the session. To seal the energetic openings created during the ceremony, a natural antimicrobial Amazonian tree sap called “Dragon’s Blood” is applied to the Gates. This not only protects the skin but also locks in the intentions and energies you wish to carry forward into your life.
Traditionally, three sessions within a lunar cycle of 28 days are recommended for maximum therapeutic benefits and transformational results. This cyclical approach allows the medicine to work progressively, addressing deeper layers with each session and facilitating sustained healing across physical, emotional, and energetic dimensions.
